SAIL is planning at least two workshops this Spring for present and potential race committee and protest committee volunteers. Each has a separate focus:

Advanced Race Management Seminar: Qualifier for certification by US SAILING as a Club, Regional, or National Race Officer. January 6-8, 2005 at Cherry Creek Yacht Club. $75 to US SAILING members, $95 to non-members. Contact rtaylor@informationtools.com for more info.

SAIL will be glad to host Racing and Race Rules Seminar for any member club or organization.  We are scheduling next year's training sessions now.  Let us know of any special interests!!

 


Junior Chalk-Talks for young sailors:

A free series of clinics for younger sailors, 1:00-3:30, on one Saturday afternoon each month from January through April. Costs are funded by SAIL. Refreshments will be provided.

Participants should be interested in sailboat racing  Planned topics will include: sail & boat trim, tuning, preparation, startegy & tactics, psychology, teamwork, wind forecasting, starting & finishing, and questions suggested by participants.
